When Lawson's was started in 1953, in a small office at 93 Front Street in Binghamton, New York, founder Lewis S. Lawson Sr. didn't have any idea what the future would hold for his fledgling company.

Times were tough back then, but the Lawson's knew it cost nothing to treat a customer with courtesy and respect, just as they'd like to be treated themselves. Or to offer suggestions, share good advice and provide the quickest response and highest quality on every single order. Also, seeing a smile on a satisfied hearing aid user is very rewarding.

We long ago outgrew that tiny office, but we have never changed our philosophy on doing business. No one talked much about "service" in 1953. Today, lots of companies talk about it. Unfortunately, in many cases, talk is all you get.
